Escape the stresses of everyday life and find a real welcome and space for yourself. March 2003 – Following extensive refurbishment, Thanos Hotels has relaunched The Paphos Beach Hotel as Almyra. The two phase renovation process will take approximately two years with the first phase completed in March 2003. At the total investment cost of CYP £4 million, the works will bring the property in line with the family-run group’s other luxury properties – Anassa and The Annabelle.
All the rooms have been enlarged and redesigned. The two freshwater pools were rebuilt to include one especially for children. The initial stages will focus on the entrance of the hotel with exclusive shops and poolside restaurant and bar. The second year will see the renovation of the main restaurant and Mosaics.
Within walking distance of the castle and close to the House of Dionysos with its stunning mosaics, the original hotel, set in eight acres of landscaped gardens with unobstructed views of the harbour, was the first to be built in Pafos in 1973. The new Almyra will have the feel of a contemporary seaside resort, meeting the needs of the modern discerning traveller. Families will play a key part at Almyra with extra facilities for children and spacious accommodation.
